I am not so sure about Uber in Quintana Roo. The Taxi Union there staged a couple protests against Uber while I was there. They all had writing on their windshields basically for Uber to burn and go home. Maybe in other areas (like PV) it is fine but I (and I repeat I) would NOT consider Uber in QR.
The post was about pricing for car rental so see if it made any sense, and I see it doesn't. I am glad to see there are other solutions for transportation since I will not rent a car for $60 a day, $420 a week, $570 canadian dollars. Going from an advertized price of a couple of $$ a day to $60 a day is a scam and I will not encourage this type of crooked business.
In USA, I can get a car for $75 for five days, they take my credit card for insurance. At home, I get a car for $75 for a 3 day weekend.
