Caravan Rant
Just need to vent a little. All these caravans marching around Alaska are starting to really agrivate me. They come into campgrounds and make it difficult for those of us with the gumption of going...

I'm just going to comment on the slow traffic part of this tread.
I also wouldn't call it Bashing people I don't think so, HOPING someone reads between the lines in the message it what I'm reading, and they take action. The thread may be pointing to one group of people however a lot of people on the Hwys, slow traffic down and up here that can be deadly.
The people that should be reading this is, are the people who organize and lead the caravans, as well as anyone who slows up traffic, not just RVer's
Last time we were up north we would get stuck " mostly" behind RV's who were driving well below the speed limit, and long lines of others behind them and refused to pull off the side of the road so people could safely pass.
I live in the mountains of southern BC and this happens all the time were people in vehicles won't allow people to pass safely. The best way is to pull over to the side of the Hwy and let people pass safely.
Here we don't have 4 lane Hwys, we have mountain roads that are windy and hilly, that sometimes have passing lanes and some of the older Hwys don't have the passing lanes. In BC it is unlawful to be in the left lane unless passing. Around here you will sometimes see two lanes going up a hill, and on that same hill if it is long enough the on coming traffic also can pass vehicles that are going down hill, which put those on coming traffic in the left lane of traffic that is going up the hill. I don't know how many times you will see someone in the left lane going up hill refusing to drive in the "slow right lane where they're is no traffic, and here we are stuck behind a semi that is going slow as he is going down a steep hill, and we can't pass, because some nitwit is in the left lane....
Another things I see with a lot of fellow RVer's is that they don't have proper mirrors on their vehicle, so when people do line up behind them they couldn't see them anyways. It amazons me every time I go out on the road how many people pulling some kind of trailer which is blocking their review, don't have proper mirrors
I could go on and on about people driving in the left lane of a passing lane, or slow drivers on the roads, but my coffee is getting cold.
So I will say this in closing:
Make sure you have proper mirrors, if not BUY some
Use those mirrors, every few minutes and see what's behind you!
When you see traffic backed up behind you look for a safe place to pull off the Hwy and let them pass, it may be miles before you find that spot to pull off the Hwy.
Just the other day two people died because a car pulled out to pass a slow moving truck and had a head on crash with another car, two dead one air lifters in critical condition to hospital.
So bashing no, hoping it make people think about they way they handle themselves on the Hwy, I hope so.
So think about this, slow drivers who won't pull over to allow people to pass safely can be deadly.
