carry bicycles or small scooter to Alaska?

Yeah Anchorage has a nice bike system and Fairbanks has sort of one. I biked all over Fairbanks one summer when I lived there, but mostly you're using the sidewalks. But how much time are you going to spend in towns? No need to go all the way to Alaska to bike around a town. There are some trails you can bike, but many people have come upon wildlife too quickly in those situations. You don't want to surprise them. There are no bike trails along the Sterling, Seward or Parks Highways that I remember. Don't remember any along the Steese either....there are often ATV trails in the right of way but I think those are a bit rough for bikes.
