carry bicycles or small scooter to Alaska?
Starting planning for Alaska trip and wonder which would be more useful to carry on back of class C, a 250cc scooter on receiver mounted carrier, or two electric bicycles?

If you're into biking and have the room, no reason not to bring the bikes...but I don't think you'd really need either one nor, IMNSHO, will you get full use out of them.
Lots of places in Los Anchorage to ride both road and mountain bikes....the mountain bike locations won't work for either electric bikes or scooters...and, while I can't state with certainty, I suspect using the scooter on the Los Anchorage bike trails might not be an entirely pleasant experience.
Also, while opinions vary, my view would be that, unless mobility is a problem, it's just as convenient to walk around most places (other than Los Anchorage or Squarebanks) as it would be to use electric bike or scooter.
...but again, no real reason not to take bike/scooter if it is not a logistics burden.
