OK, here is the actual route we took.

I-25 to the merger with I-90

I-90 to Big Timber, MT where we enjoyed an overnight at the Spring Creek Campground.

From Big Timber US 191 to US 87 to Great Falls, MT.

I-15 to State Highway 44 over to US 89 to Browning.
(Spot near to furthest exploration of Meriweather Lewis--historic marker.)

US 2 to West Glacier

All Good. Would follow this route again.

Most scenic - NW to Grand Tetons, through Yellowstone, and then up the west side of the continental divide to the west side of Glacier.

Another choice - if you are up for some hills: Themopolist to Cody to Chief Joseph Hwy to Beartooth Pass. Then I90 and I15 and or US89.

Awesome as in mostly wheat fields.
