Chandler to Yuma, 347 to Maricopa & 238 to Gila Bend

Question

As subject says, will be traveling from Chandler area with MH and toad. Was looking at the paper Atlas. Noticed 347 out of Chandler and then connecting with AZ 238 to Gila Bend. Thought 238 might be more scenic than I8. Not in a big hurry. So, how is 238 through the National Monument

I've only driven 238 from Casa Grande to Maricopa. 347 is all good road.  Sometimes it can be a bit slow at Maricopa through a few lights.  I've always gone that route to I-8 from Chandler area.  Much faster.

If you are interested in history,this route is the closest you can get to the old Buterfield stage route that ran from Maricopa wells to the Gila Bend stage
station in 1859,It is also the route the Mormon Bn went and the route Kearny and Kit Carson took.
