What is the best route and best campground pit stops...? Will probably drive 4-5 hrs then stop for the night thanks

Looks like US 441 to US 23, short distance on I-985 then I-85 into Alabama would be best ...
Planning to stop a few times along the way using my Passport America Account. Has anyone done so along this route (Cherokee NC to Houston TX) and have a GOOD Site recommendation ... will probably stay a couple of days at each location.
How about any RV Casino Parking (FHU) or quality P America sites close to them around Mobile or Biloxi>>>>???
