From central Indiana I have taken every possible route to Florida. The easiest has been I-69, the Pennyrile, I-24, I-65 then 231 or 331 from Montgomery to I-10. The last two options are 4 lane. While it is nearly two hours longer it is a much more relaxing drive. Have a safe and enjoyable trip. We will be going that way soon too. Oh, BTW..you could go on pass Montgomery to exit 106 and take 55 to Andalusia then on to DeFuniak Springs where you can pick up I-10. Lot of this is 4 lane but some is a two lane.
