Been doing it for 9 years to see the kids and grandchildren. What a drag. BUT no longer. they moved to Cincinnati. We've tried every road over the years and recently came up with a way to avoid the I90 widening (we have been avoiding downtown for years). From the east, we take 80/94 to 294 then head west on 88 (Aurora) to 39 then north. It adds about 15-20 minutes under optimum conditions on the other roads but with 90 under construction, it actually takes us less time and we drive at the speed limit without any aggravation. From the west take 39 north. We have an iPass transponder and love the open road tolling as we don't have to stop for anything but pit stops.
