Ciudad Obregon Libramiento Open!!!
Toodling along the highway yesterday heading north, and saw the sign for the Cd. Obregon Libramiento! Took it, of course, it went 30 k, then put us on a surface street just past the one toll booth. It is obviously going to be longer, but at least this part is open, and it's fabulous concrete.
It starts by the mine and racetrack. When you are taken off of it, you are put on a semi rural feeling road. Just when we were starting to ask, "Where the hell are we?" there was a sign about Guaymas. We rejoined 15 at the last stop light in town.
If you are heading South, it is a left turn at literally the first stop light in town, after the Pemex, the toll booth, and the curve. It didn't look like it was marked, but the construction is obvious.
It was a real treat, and it's hard to believe that others haven't use it and shared the information!
