Colorado Highway 14 Poudre VS I-70/Hwy 40 to Walden, CO??

Hello, Heading to Walden area this weekend and I am considering trying a new route. Living in Erie, CO area I have taken the I-70 route numerous times but the tunnel construction is a mess right now....

Very good road and not a problem for towing. Be careful, however, if it has been raining as they have had mudslides close portions of the road lately.
