Colorado State Highway 13, Rifle, CO to Baggs, WY

I have a 35' motor home towing 4 down and heading back to MN from Grand Juction, CO. I wanted to avoid I-70 to and going thru Denver. Is CO Hwy 13 starting at Rifle, CO to Baggs, WY a good route? Are ...

We took CO 13 from Meeker to Rifle last year. No problem except that there was construction going on at the time. I have no experience with the highway north of Meeker, as we were coming from the west.
