Colorado State Hwy 71 from Brush CO to Trinidad CO

Would like to hear comments on this road. AAA maps has me taking this route instead of my usual I-25 through Denver down to Albuquerque. Wondering about the condition - my wife hates when I travel ...

Coming or going that direction I always take 24 to Colorado Springs then I-25 down, easy and avoids the big traffic mess called Denver.
