Get serious here, folks -- you can use your credit cards virtually any place in the world. You'll soon find that the rest of the world is AHEAD, not behind. (Chip/PIN cards may actually show up in the US this year.)
The price of fuel is higher in Canada -- so just like us, they defer paying by using their cards. And it's so darn cold all the time that they use a lot more propane -- available everywhere.
