Credit card/cash questions for travel in Canada

In the mid west I've never seen a Discover card logo on the entry door of a store. Visa and Master card--yes I see those.

You may find a service charge of 2.5% tacked on to all transactions--after all we would not want our banks to go broke, now would we?
