Credit card/cash questions for travel in Canada

I am in Ontario right now. I have found my best way to get cash is from a Credit Union. I get the exchange rate and no extra charge. I have Visa & Master Card that do not have foreign fees also. AAA in MI just came out with one with no foreign fee and the Sam's Club Master Card just announced they have no more foreign fees. Even though a store has Discover on their door they may not get it approved. Been there done that
