Crossing border around Easter

Question

We are currently in Yucatan and will be crossing at Columbia Bridge near Laredo around 1 April. It was a three hour wait.

When is the best date to cross. We were thinking Easter Sunday might have the lowest traffic. Should greatly appreciate recommendations

This week is Carnaval which is by far busier than Sto Pascual

There could be pretty heavy traffic - not everyone has the whole week off. I have slept within an hour of N.Laredo, gotten up at 1am and drove to the border. It's pretty quiet then. I've done that at least 8 times and lived to tell the tale.
