We have vacationed in Myrtle Beach for years before we retired and became Snowbirds. A fellow worker and I made who also vacationed each year in MB, made it a point to determine the best route. We can vouch for taking 84 to 81, but then before Stasburg, VA, take 66 East to 17 South and you'll reconnect on I-95 near Fredericksburg. We have done it by car, by motorhome, and also pulling a 38' Fifth Wheel. It's easy travel and the 66/17 crossover is scenic and a nice change. Try it, you'll like it! We came up through Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey this Spring to try that route and once was more than enough. Happy trails & safe travels, Jack & Niki
