Why not take TCH to Lake Louise, then 93 and 11 to Red Deer?

The Trans-Canada Highway is open from Banff East gates to Banff. Single lane undivided traffic.Please obey all signage, message boards and flag persons.
Between Bow River bridge and west of Cougar Creek in Canmore, there is a short length where speed is reduced to 50 km/h and traffic is travelling on single lane each direction.
