Custer State Park
What is the best route into Custer State Park from I90E? Headed there in the morning. Thanks, Dave

- actually 36 ends and becomes 16A on through the park to the town of Custer. You are right - do not turn up the hill and follow 16! This is the Iron Mtn road and has many tunnels - beautiful drive, but do it in a towed vehicle

Just got home from Rushmore. X2 on this one. This would be the truck route and misses all of the Rapid City stoplights.- Never enter from the East, but seems this would work well:

It's either 16 from the north, or Alt 16 from the east through Hermosa.
