McAllen, TX is the location of the Texas War Memorial. The Memorial is very large and occupies ground on the east side of the new convention center. This is an outdoor memorial and is quite impressive. The story of the Mexican 201st Squadron is told in great detail on one of the many granite stones that comprise the memorial.
