I understand that Mex is not a tourist. For Mexicans and expats living on the same level, trips North are usually something of necessity, doctors appointments etc. Schedule is tight and so is the budget. When you have to go, you have to go. Max distance is to be covered in a short time, additional stops in camps or hotels on the way aren't always desirable. The hottest I've been in, was upper 90s, 120F must be deadly.
Since we are poor Mexican Americans we can only visit our daughter whenever we want (sarc on), she happens to live in Needles, we happen to live in Mexico. We have always lived in the desert and know how to travel. We would never think of going to AZ or CA for medical as we have it all here but thanks for your input, we spent a week up in CA with our daughter an d all was great, we had no schedule, we could have come home earlier or much later had we decided. We chose to come home to conduct business for our next year schedule for RV tours to Mexico. Your insight was entertaining but not that helpful.
