They were embarrassed. They're full-timers and have covered most of the continent, thus, had done 4 other time zones (including AK), but they hadn't been this far east before.

What makes me ask is the couple who almost missed a ferry, where they had reservations because they didn't know that New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are on a different time zone from Maine.

Tried my crank-up antenna for local channels - we can get three here. At other Canadian RV parks with cable, I've hooked up and really enjoy some of the Canadian channels, especially one (don't remember which) specializing in First Nations programs.
I have always tried to learn as much as I could about the culture, language, history, etc., of the area and peoples in countries I have visited. I spent most of my adult life in Europe, mostly Germany, UK and Greece, and visited many other European countries while there. Spent one year in the Far East during the Viet Nam area. Each country and area has a lot to offer.

All systems are go! Front TV is operating off the newly installed DirectTV Slimline Trav'ler antenna. As mentioned, we drop HD occasionally, but we can live with that. Rear TV is operating off my carry-out portable dish which I have mounted on the ladder on the rear of the coach.
No more roughing it!

Set up at Bayside RV park north-central PEI.

No problem finding the signal but then we lost a couple of the stations in the afternoon. Got them back overnight, then lost then again in the afternoon. My wife then had a thought - try the non-HD channel. Voila! Success. Now receiving the full lineup of channels.
We are happy campers.
I was afraid we were gonna have to rough it.

First time here. One of the best spots we've ever been in. The young French-Canadian lassie who signed us in is the epitome of hospitality. Beautiful smile, bubbling personality - made us feel right at home. And the area is awesome. Thirty five foot tides...impressive. Camper next to me spends his entire summer here. I can see why.
