- CloudDriverExplorerThe non-scary route would be route 12 to route 89 north to I70 east to route 191 south to Moab. Google Maps estimates 4-1/2 hours. Except for portions of I70 we have driven these roads in our Class C. All easy driving.
The much more interesting route is route 12 in the opposite direction from Bryce to Torrey then route 24 to I70 east and route 191 south to Moab. Google Maps estimates 5 hours. Route 12 has several short sections of 14% grades and about 1/2 mile of "hogsback" with steep drop offs on both sides of the road. We have used this route 3 times in our Class C.
If you have time while in the Moab area, drive route 128 east along the Colorado River as far as Fisher Towers Link. The first few miles is in a canyon cut by the river and has the feel of driving at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. - WE-C-USAExplorerIt'd take us about 2+ weeks , then we aren't on the time clock.
Enjoy your trip. - Grangrey4ExplorerI really needed that information. I thank you. Cramped for time trip due to Ballon Fiesta and a couple relatives coming. Hope we all hold up! Dont suppose you have any information on how long to get to Albuquerque from Mesa Verda National Park? Would love to see Mesa Verde but need to get to Albuquerque for check in at the rally style Rv park (all they had available). Not sure we can make the drive from Mesa verde and get there in the tight time slot they have for check in.
- trailertravelerExplorerRather than taking US-89 to I-70, turn right on UT-62. At Koosharem, turn right on Browns Lane to UT-24 East. This will take you through Capitol Reef National Park and past Goblin Valley State Park. Both well worth a visit. UT-24 will then take you to I-70 which will take you to US-191 to Moab.
- lbrjetExplorerSounds like you don't want to take the most beautiful drive in the country, RT 12. If that is the case at least take 24 through Capitol Reef. You don't even have to stop to take in the beauty.

We did hwy 12 (Hogback) pulling the 43' 5th wheel a few months ago. The speed limit through the Hogback section is 35MPH. If you keep it slow and easy, there's no problem. Very scenic drive.
Definitely agree with the hwy 128 drive. Beautiful!!
