Apparently the unrest has subsided, the government sent a bunch of hoodlums to brake windows and create fear in the protesters and it has had the correct effect, today Thursday traffic was normal and the police is now out again as opposed to yesterday that you could not find one, traffic in to Mexico City has resumed so you should be OK, I am in Mexico City at then moment so gar so good, no shortage of fuel or long lines today at all or yesterday for that matter.
