driving from oklahoma to oregon (moving)

This is the route I was thinking of; I-35 to I-70 (kansas), first night in strasburg,colorado then I-25 to (wyoming) and I-80 all the way to Reno, after that I'm not sure how to get up to Medford.Do I need to worry about driving across Nevada (gas stations)? I was thinking 2nd night at Wendover Utah and driving on in on 3rd day however I am now thinking of stretching it to 3 nights. I'm not sure how much we will need to stop and take breaks so maybe 2nd night at Salt Lake City, 3rd at Reno then drive on in to medford. KOA's have "kabins" that accept pets, motels charge extra (motel 6 is $10 per dog). I don't think I need to go to portland or ontario. This trip is just me (marla) driving the moving truck and my daughter driving her vehicle with dogs.
