Dead Horse Ranch is a great state park. There are 3 ponds for fishing, easy trails along the river and horseback riding in the park.
Within walking distance is
Blazin' M Ranch , with a western dinner show. There are things to do at the compound before dinner.
Within a 25 mile radius you have Indian ruins, Out of Africa Wildlife Park, Fort Verde State Historic Park, Verde Canyon Railroad, Jerome and Sedona.
