We did it in 98 when they were rebuilding it and it still ended in Goose Bay. AWESOME trip. Our fifth wheel, a 40' Country Coach, and a Winnebago Rialta. We were greeted everywhere as the first caravan they had ever seen, We did south to north and only saw one other rv the whole time.
The part of the road that had been completed was good gravel, the old part was tolerable. Supposed to be much improved since then.
Awesome folks in the villages/towns. Great power plant tours, mine tours, Fermont complex. Golf at Happy Valley/Goose Bay. Long way, mostly dry camping, but definitely worth the ride.
