I think some posters are confusing Duty with taxes. In Canada most items that are imported are duty free. BUT the importer has to pay either GST/PST or the combined tax. When you cross by vehicle into Mexico the franquicia is $300 per person. If you are over that amount usually the only extra fees are the IVA. There is a limit to the value of the goods. I think if it is over $1500 or maybe it is $3000 you need a broker and duty may apply. I do not see where allowing a package that is worth $100 is a big deal. The freight will be outrageous. Depending on how it is shipped it may never arrive.
