Looking at possibly doing an extensive trip to the Maritime provinces and eastern Canada. Driving a newer diesel and also need DEF. Is there anything I should know about any difficulties in obtaining diesel fuel or DEF? I know propane can be a challenge sometimes to find for RVs in Canada, not so easily found as stateside.
Anyone have first hand knowledge on what I need to know? Any help will be much appreciated!! Thanks
I was up in remote Canada around Quebec. They had to bring the diesel to you by dogsled and hand pump it from 20 liter cans. :B
The first thing you need to do is get Gas Buddy. Diesel right now in Halifax is 89.9 per liter. I didn't pay attention to DEF because I didn't use it. I would think if you filled your DEF tank before you went you shouldn't need more in a reasonable trip in the Maritime provinces. Same with propane. By the way if you are driving the coach in your profile you don't need DEF. Otherwise please update your profile and add the information to your signature.
