Eastern Canada - Diesel and DEF availability??

Looking at possibly doing an extensive trip to the Maritime provinces and eastern Canada. Driving a newer diesel and also need DEF. Is there anything I should know about any difficulties in obtaining...

I think my two favourite 'groaners' have been asked on this forum.

"We are going to Canada for the first time. Is the 401 Hwy, that goes past Toronto, a good road, or is it a narrow track that winds its way through the wilderness?" It's the busiest road in the WORLD!

"We are going to Canada for the first time, do we have to stock up with everything before we enter, or do they have grocery stores there?"
