I think my two favourite 'groaners' have been asked on this forum.
"We are going to Canada for the first time. Is the 401 Hwy, that goes past Toronto, a good road, or is it a narrow track that winds its way through the wilderness?" It's the busiest road in the WORLD!
"We are going to Canada for the first time, do we have to stock up with everything before we enter, or do they have grocery stores there?"
WELL, I try to eat at a local sit down restaurant at least once a week to get the local flavours.
On the other hand, one can pull past the windows for such as: Tim Hortons, MacDonalds,etc. & Timmies is a Canadian started coffee shop, just like Canadian Tire has been known to beat out Wally World for deals on every day house and buggy equipment. Don't know if CT is still Canadian owned. Don't think Timmies is, though.
:p
{ps. Eric, you have humour too, and we all know that, join in, eh}
