The last 50-75 km of highway to Yellowknife is pretty poor, the pavement is good but there are frost heaves or sunk spots everywhere. Just take your time so you don't ruin the suspension of your truck. If you have time, drive into Hay River and stay at the territorial CG there, one of the best we stayed at on our recent trip to the north. Brenda, the camp host, is a super lady and will help you with any special needs that you may have.
