Best of luck to you in your new location. We loved our trip to Yellowknife a few years ago. The advice about the c.g. in Hay River is good.
We lived in Sudbury for 7 years and we were amazed at the similarity between Sudbury and Yellowknife. The hills, rocks, lakes, trees and the way the gov't buildings are situated are very similar. I was surprised at the number of familiar stores.
