Edmundston NB area & CG recommendations

Looking for CG recommendations in the Edmundston area.
Will be travelling though from June 29 -July 03. I will be travelling with my oldest daughter she'll be 12 then and we're looking for a nice clean CG.
Does anyone know what activities city of Edmundston have planned or have experienced for Canada Day?

Any info will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

We also stayed at De La republique Provincial park at Edmonton. We spent 2 nites in late June 2015. It was a nice Provincial park, a good parking spot, very few neighbors, and quiet. Internet was available only at the park office.
We did tour an adjacent small automobile museum within walking distance of the campground. Not big, but worth our time.

Seems like the De La republique Provincial park is a popular choice. Will check it out next time I pass by in the region.

  • Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Since I want to do some astronomy at a dark sky preserve (Mt. Carleton Nat'l Park in NB) and be close by, the daughter and I decided to camp at Ste. Basile just outside of Edmundston, that way after camping there we have a 2 hour drive.
  • Three hours south and you will be in the Provincial capital and bound to be lots of activities going on there.

  • We have stayed at De La republique Provincial park. It was a nice overnight stop.

There are some activities right beside the campground, but we only did an overnight stop. It is a little north of Edmundston, about half way to Quebec border.
