- coloradotallmanExplorerYes, the 1-14 to El Carrizo is paved and in good condition as of about one year ago, if you are still in El Fuerte, which you are probably not by this time.
- reed_cundiffExplorerWere told of better way to head north out if El Fuerte and avoid Los Mochis. Just turn right out of Bugambilla and go down a block and turn left at Pemex and drive 30 miles to 15
- HpymilsExplorerThanks for the information.
- reed_cundiffExplorerWe are currently at the Buganbilla (sic) hotel as suggested by Church and Church. Caravans do stay here and we went to Creel with them for Copper Canyon. It is basically a place to park with some electrical hookups. Showers are available and were told laundry can be done. No one has ever heard of problems here. We have spent an extra day to see the quite charming town. We leave tomorrow for San Carlos.
Suggest taking train and finding a hotel in Creel and then checking into tours
Reed and Elaine - crandleExplorerThe last time we checked in there was no one there to sign us in or take our money. The next morning someone showed up shortly before we were getting ready to leave. Many kids were using the park as a shortcut to/from school. We may just be hitting them on their bad days but the place did not feel too secure. We stayed at the Pemex truck stop back on the highway after that.
I know people do store their RV's there while taking the train and have not heard of any problems so it is probably fine.
