El Paso TX Bypass?

Are very familiar with just staying on I 10 through town.

Wondering about the new bypass:

375 north
U.S. 54 north
3255/MLK north turns into NM 213
West on NM 404/Ohara back I 10 @ exit NM 162

Google map shows it only 3 miles longer than staying in I 10 all the way through El Paso.
  • Good choice to save some frustration. Just be aware that MLK and Ohara road are both 2 lane roads and if you are heading West, which I believe you are, there is a traffic circle at the intersection of the two which you will need to navigate. There is a bypass for Eastbound traffic but not Westbound.

An alternative would be to continue on Loop 375 which will take you over the mountains and meet up with I 10 again on the West side of town. Not a bad drive, just a climb up and over.

Take a look at the satellite photos and review the options.
