I have now read the entire postings, one item that has not been mentioned are spare tires for the 5th, if your unit has a spare make shure that is is locked, then purchase a rim and a tire as a second unit and have it secured and locked to the truck bed, trailer tires are hard to get in mexico.
The spare rim and tire is in case you have flat and then ruin a rim and tire, you acn still move, rather than having to find a "tire" shop.
If you only have a hose conection to fill your potable water tank, install a gravity fill unit with an in line filter that has a screen filter, that way you obtain water even from a well, also carry a jug for water, Napa sells one that is prety good it is blu in color.
