Thinking of getting hubby an eReader for christmas but have heard that some purchased in Canada don't work in the US. We travel to florida. Any suggestions?

My Kindle Ereader, though bought in the US, has worked just fine in the US, Canada and Mexico.
As a side note, you should also be using Prime for all of the free books. All it takes is a dozen free books to pay for Prime and then you get all of the other benefits basically for free.
