Thinking of getting hubby an eReader for christmas but have heard that some purchased in Canada don't work in the US. We travel to florida. Any suggestions?

OK one more time.
A tablet is not and eReader. You can read with it but if you are into serious reading get a proper reader.
No glare in sunlight and you can read for days on one charge with an eReader.
