When we planned out trip from Texas to Connecticut via Florida - toll roads were a concern. So I went on-line and got a Sunpass for Florida, and an EZ-Pass for the northeast.
Simple and easy. Though I do try to avoid toll roads when possible. Sometimes it is not - especially with bridges.
As mentioned above - always monitor any toll pass account - and watch for spurious charges. I've found toll agencies are always very easy to deal with about unwarranted charges.
