I have never had an EZ pass so don't know their system very well. I went with an I-PASS which is good on roads where the EZ-Pass is except for some parking if I recall correctly. I went with the I-Pass because they don't charge inactivity fees when the pass isn't used. I have it automatically set up to charge to my credit card when the balance reaches a designated low balance.
