I live in OH, obtained mine through PA. PA EZ-Pass is less expensive than the same thing offered by OH. Accounts may be set up (transponders mailed to your home) on-line with the Turnpike Commission, or at kiosks located at PA Tpk Service Plazas (transponders dispensed by the kiosk vending machine). Toll rates are discounted for EZ-Pass customers on the PA Tpk, as stated by earlier posts. Website allows you to register every vehicle in which you might carry, or use the transponder. No need for multiple transponders, we just switch the transponder to the vehicle we're driving on the Tpk that day. Our Jay Flight is listed, along with my 'Burban and the DW's Sonata. Registration is simple, just list the license plate number, and a description of the vehicle. The technology not only reads the Radio Frequency signal, but also snaps a photo of the vehicle(s). Do check your on-line account frequently to watch for incorrect charges. I've heard stories of higher "flat rate" charges for those towing a trailer without proper registration.
