We have two NY EZ-Pass transponders for the coach, one for just the coach, and the other for when we have the toad along. The transponders are registered to the NY Thruway's "Motorhome Plan", so we get charged standard passenger car per axle rates instead of large truck rates. The toad has its own transponder for when it's not in tow. The unused transponders are kept in shielded bags when not in use. In the other 13 EZ-Pass states and NY's non-Thruway bridges, etc., we pay whatever their rates are for our vehicle class. NY does not charge for the transponders or account maintenance on credit card guaranteed accounts.
