Try Anchor Point, the most Westerly point on the U.S. highway system. The road to the beach turns off at the Old Sterling Highway junction. There are 4 campgrounds on the "Beach Road" to choose from. At the end of the road you will see tractors launching boats into the inlet, quite a sight. Be careful when you turn off the highway onto the Old Sterling, the bridge is a one lane affair even though it is not marked as such. Just go down the slight hill slow and be ready to stop on very short notice and you wont have the pucker factor.
