Keep in mind that your dog cannot go with you on the boardwalks or trails. You'll need to walk the boardwalks/trails to see the geysers/mud pots, etc. Study this Yellowstone information so you aren't surprised when you get there. Other national parks have similar rules for pets.

Also look under 'Things to Do' and there's a section on bicycles. To me it would be a dangerous place to ride with the animals, narrow roads, high traffic and no shoulders.
