Ferry Costs to Vancouver Island

Found the following ferry prices:
Based on my coach,39' Class A with toad, total length 56', two senior citizens.

Anacortes, Washington to Sidney Harbour - $209.50 (Senior citizen fare for two)

Port Angeles, Washington to Victoria - $280.50

Vancouver (Tsawassan), BC to Nanaimo, BC - $329.85

We will be taking the Anacortes ferry.

GM
  • Am assuming that this is also just one way GM? That's a lotta bucks. Would it be cheaper to price out the toad separately to the MH and disconnect if practical? Just thinking.

Like many things generally when in Canada it costs us an arm and a leg compared to US side = food, gasoline, ferry crossings! Most RV items, electronics etc we find about 20 to 30% cheaper in the USA over Canada but of course that depends on the exchange rate at the point of purchase.
  • We also prefer to use the Sidney Anacortes Route when heading off the Island Southbound ,as it is convenient for Us! Coming back on, or if heading to Vancouver or Further East We "Pay the Piper" !
  • It's a LONG scenic ride. When I used to make the trip nearly weekly I found that the early Washington State ferry got me home the latest of the three.
Sometimes still did in on days like today, just for the views.
