OK, folks! Thanks for the good info!
I've not had so much as a traffic ticket in over 40 years, so no concerns on that point.
I wasn't planning on bringing EVERYTHING on that "prohibited weapons" list, but they definitely are assuming that there are NO bad guys up there, or that a Mountie will be there BEFORE they do any harm! :-(
If you are visiting in my neck of the woods and would like the loan of a small deterrent device while you're here, I'd be happy to oblige.
You see, in the US, we most certainly DO have bad guys, and the police will tell you that they only function to catch them after the fact.
Sorry. This whole "disarm the good guys" thing is a bit of.a soapbox issue for me.
I promise to play nice up there. We're coming for a good time, whether we are going to it, or bringing it with us. Maybe I'll run into some folks to play a little music with while we are there. I'm a long time keyboard guy who is trying to learn guitar. I'm no good at it yet, but I have fun trying!
