You could, if you really don't want to take the 417 across the city, head south on the 416 then take Hunt Club all the way across to where it joins up to the 417 again (this interchange just opened some weeks ago). But, if you avoid weekdays from 6:00 to 10:00 A.M. and 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. you shouldn't have many/any delays.
