- bee_46ExplorerWe did not drive the turnpike all the way to the Keys (It actually ends in Homestead) this winter and regreted it when we hit the Palm Beach/Miami area on I-95. Traffic was terrible. We made sure we took the turnpike back moving over to I-95 at Ft. Pierce. If you do not have a SunPass the lower turnpike uses your license plate to send a bill. We have been back a month and have not seen the bill yet. I have no idea what it will be because in addition to the tolls there is an administrative/service fee. What ever it is it was worth it.

Yes they are clearly marked. when exiting the TPK in Jupiter, after going through the toll plaza, you take a left at the traffic lights. After crossing over the TPK, you take your first left, and you're on I 95.
It's funny, but my brother in law, just in from Ohio, mentioned being surprised by the service plazas/rest area being on the left side along the TPK. I would imagine the main reason for that, is so both north and south bound traffic can share the same rest areas.
Here's a list of the Fl TPK exits and thei corresponding mile markers, which makes it easier to figure distances.

I believe switching from one to the other is closest/easiest in Jupiter, where the ramps are about a 1/4 mile apart.
That's about all I traveled (1/4 mile) .. Maybe I was going to cross at Ft. Pierce , but ended up at Jupiter ??- Mich_FExplorerI believe switching from one to the other is closest/easiest in Jupiter, where the ramps are about a 1/4 mile apart.
- 2-3 years ago when we went to the keys , we made the switch from 95 to the turnpike at Ft. Pierce.. Very easy ..

I recommend staying on the turnpike as long as possible unless you can't afford it.
Locals who can NOT afford it drive pickups and trailers full of junk, furniture and scrap
that often ends up on the roadway...causing spectacular accidents.
Up to you.
I-95 south of Jupiter is a zoo any time of day. - bobsinnExplorerWe always get off the turnpike at Jupiter. You are north of Palm Beach and most of the traffic. Its also the closest to I-95, you can see it.
